New Technology Used

The day before and day of the 42nd annual Leadership Conference was hectic, stressful, but completely and utterly AMAZING. This year marked a new beginning due to the new technology used to broadcast the Leadership Conference all throughout the world. One aspect of this year’s conference was that it was the first-ever live broadcast of the Leadership Conference. Also, the 42nd annual conference also had live simulcasting of the conference on the FEC website, so others around the country could watch the broadcast. In conjunction with the live broadcast and live video streaming, conference participants could simultaneously watch the presenters at satellite sites positioned around the state as those watching at PAEC. One advantage the satellite site participants had was the Adobe Online Classroom via laptops provided by Apple. After each presenter, satellite site participants could get on Adobe Online Classroom and ask questions to the presenter virtually. This year’s conference used many different technologies to reach the viewers stationed all over the country. The use of these technologies in the conference set the bar extremely high for the broadcast, but the conference reached that bar and sailed even higher.
