FCC Modifies Wireless Frequency Regulations

According to FCC regulations (Jan., 2010), wireless microphones using the 700 MHz (698-806 MHz) band will have to stop using those frequencies as of June 12, 2010. These frequencies formerly belonged to TV broadcast channels but since the digital conversion, they are being used for public safety entities and other commercial providers of wireless services. Many of the manufacturers are currently offering trade-in allowances when you purchase new products, but you must fill out the trade in forms and submit requests prior to June 1st or 12th (depending on the manufacturer). Click on the link below for more details from the FCC and a manufacturers equipment list.
