Spring Break: March 29 - April 2

The staff of the Florida Education Channel will be out off the office the week of March 29 for Spring Break. Please remember that the Florida Education Channel is available to you 24/7 both on Dish Network 9418, and through live web streaming at www.fec.tv.

From March 29 - 31, viewers have the opportunity to follow history teachers that were involved in the Teaching American History grant, as they take you through the towns of Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, taking a look at historic events, people, and places that shaped our nation. From April 1 - 4, the Seminars in Science series will be highlighted. Science educators will gain critical and up-to-date information about leading-edge scientific research and its relevance. Seminars in Science offers professional development which is available through FloridaLearns ePDC. Also highlighted will be the SOAR videos, providing practical strategies to apply to the classroom. Don't have access to the Florida Education Channel through your local cable provider? Do you have access to high speed Internet? The Florida Education Channel is available through web steam. Visit www.fec.tv and click on "Watch FEC Live".

Numerous FEC programs can be viewed online, on demand, any time of the day. At the FEC website, click on the link "Programming". Programs can be viewed by subject or grade level. Clicking on "Browse by Program Title", lists all the broadcast programs that FEC offers. If the program is available to be viewed online, the link "click to watch video online" will follow the description of the program. All broadcast programs produced by FEC are available on demand, which includes Tuesday Teacher Training and Teacher-to-Teacher.
