Curriculum Connection: 9/11: What Can We Learn?
The Florida Education Channel staff was honored with an Anniversary Gold Classic Telly Award in the TV Programs, Segment, or Promotional Pieces category for the program Curriculum Connection: 9/11: What Can We Learn.
September 11, 2001; a day that is etched in the minds of everyone for the tragic attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. In remembrance of this event, the program produced by FEC staff, September 11: What Can We Learn? will be available to view online, along with lesson plans and other various resources. In remembrance of the innocent that died that day and heroes that helped, display a flag at your school and home to show your pride.
Curriculum Connection: 9/11: What Can We Learn? will broadcast on Wednesday, September 9th from 9:00-9:30 am and again at 12:00-12:30 pm and on September 11th, from 9:00-9:30 am and again at 10:30-11:00 am.
The FEC staff was also honored with an Aurora award for “Best of Show” in the Educational Documentary category for the production of Teachers Doing Real Science in the Real World. In addition, the staff received a 30th anniversary Gold Classic Telly Award for a program called the Curriculum Connection:” Veteran’s Day: Honoring our Heritage.” Then in March 2009 FEC was awarded three prestigious Bronze Telly Awards for outstanding achievement for the documentaries in the categories of Education, Documentary, and Videography/Cinematography.
