Two FEC staff receive recognition from the Adult and Community Educators (ACE) of Florida, Inc.
 The Florida Education Channel (FEC) and two of its staff members received statewide recognition as “Volunteer of the year” for work associated with the
Adult and Community Educators (ACE) of Florida, Inc. Denise Brock and Rick Everitt were recently honored during ceremonies on September 23rd in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Both were involved in arranging live coverage of the organization’s first annual ACE videoconference earlier this year from Tallahassee. The event was broadcast over the FEC and made available to hundreds of adult education directors, administrators, and educators throughout the state who otherwise would not have been able to participate in the conference.
In addition to helping facilitate the live coverage of the event, Ms. Brock aided in event promotion and PAEC hosted a site for Washington County participants. When news of the award came out station manager Lisa Schofield said "providing good customer service is something that we pride ourselves in here at PAEC, and to have Denise and Rick recognized for the services they provide behind the scenes means a lot to both myself, and the rest of the staff here at the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium".
Adult and Community Educators (ACE) of Florida, Inc. is a non-profit association that represents the interests, concerns, and talents of adult and community education professionals and volunteers.
“Volunteer of the Year” is one of five categories recognized at the banquet. The others included Media Promotion of the Year, Business Supporter of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and John E. Lawrence Administrator of the Year. The annual ACE Conference is known as one of the best educational conferences in the country.
