This keynote will examine some of the fascinating discoveries in brain research that have application to educational practice in schools and classrooms. We will briefly explore new information about memory systems, the impact of emotions on learning, language acquisition, learning to read, attention systems, learning mathematics (Is there a math gene?), and how the arts support STEM subjects. There will definitely be some surprises!
