In her presentation for the Holocaust Education Resource Center (HERC), Linda Medvin, helps teachers understand what is/is not appropriate to teach about the Holocaust in public school classrooms at varying grade levels. Linda emphasizes having lessons about the Holocaust well-planned and organized and being sure to consider the maturity level of students in lesson preparations. A sensitive, common-sense approach that encourages students to think critically is encouraged. Because the state requires that all students, K-12 be taught about the Holocaust, Linda’s practical, no-nonsense advice on teaching the Holocaust is well worth hearing.
